An all-new production and a company premiere! A grand work for chorus, soloists and orchestra. Carmina Burana includes the well-known and powerful “O Fortuna,” a complaint to the Roman goddess of fate. In addition to glorious music, stunning aerial feats will be performed by acrobats who have worked with Cirque du Soleil, along with dancers from Detroit’s own Eisenhower Dance Ensemble. Carmina will be paired with Menotti’s dramatic one-act opera The Medium.
